Victims of Crime & Criminal Process (St. Paul)
In Honour of “Victims of Crime Awareness Week” please join us on April 19th, 2011 for a Public Legal Education Seminar: Victims of Crime & Criminal Process (Please note, this session orginally scheduled fo April 5th. Date has changed to April 19th)
This informative and interactive session will provide a general overview of what victims of crime can expect from the criminal justice system including:
• Victims of Crime Protocol
• Victim Impact Statements
• Restitution
• Legal remedies for victims of family violence
• Emergency Protection Orders
• Sections in the Criminal Code regarding young victims
There will be an opportunity to ask questions about legal processes.
