Here are some of the youth focused PLE sessions we are coordinating for May:

 

May 3 – JAWS Youth Conference

J.A. Williams High School, Lac La Biche

 

  • Youth Criminal Justice Act
  • Gang Awareness
  • Dating Violence
  • ATV Safety
  • GDL/Distracted Driving
  • Fish and Wildlife Licensing & Regulations

May 21-30 Traffic Safety in Alberta

Participating Schools:

  • Vilna Off-Campus School
  • Vilna High School
  • Saddle Lake Off-Campus
  • Boyle High School
  • Lac La Biche (with Kikino & Caslan) Off-Campus

Barry Sallstrom with the Office of Traffic Safety, Alberta Safe Roads Initiative will visit these schools to present on

  • Impaired Driving
  • Distracted Driving
  • Traffic Safety & Seat Belts

 

May – Cyberbullying/Identity Theft

Fishing Lake Metis Settlement schools

The Realities of Today’s Impaired & Distracted Driving

Please join instructor, Barry Sallstrom, Office of Traffic Safety, for this “Lunch and Learn” session and learn about the laws concerning driving in Alberta at any of these locations:

 February 17th @ 11:30 – 1:00 pm, Portage College, Lac La Biche  (room 143)

February 29 @ 11:30 – 1:00 pm Portage College, Cold Lake (room 1324)

March 1 @ 11:30 – 1:00 pm Portage College, Bonnyville  (room 242)

March 2 @ 11:30 – 1:00 pm Portage College, St. Paul (room 157)

Sessions are FREE however registration is required to attend. Please register early as seating is limited. Registration deadline is noon the day before a scheduled session.
